Meet Our Leaders
Pastors Adewale and Yemisi Odusanya, also known as PWal and PYem are the Pastors for the Young Adult and Single Ministry at Ignite, a church within Jesus House DC (JHDC).PWal and PYem have been active members in various ministries of the JHDC church for several years – from Prison Ministry, Special Events Department, Choir, Dance and Drama Ministry,Young Adults and Singles Ministry, Haggai Business Ministry, Caleb Crew (teenage church), Young Professional and Global Mentoring Program, to name a few before becoming ordained Ministers in 2016.
In 2007, PWal met PYem in a biblical foundation class at JHDC. They became friends for one year, started a committed relationship in 2008, got engaged in 2009 and were married in 2010. They welcome their beautiful twin boys in July of 2016. In September 2020, they celebrated their 10 th year wedding anniversary, and PWal’s 40th birthday.
PWal and PYem enjoy travel experiences, cooking, shopping and spending time together with their family. They also both enjoy mentoring and counseling singles, dating and married couples. Outside of the ministry, both PWal and PYem are seasoned speakers, serial entrepreneurs with a few businesses under their belts and have their respective YouTube shows – “Food for Thought with Pastor Wale”, and “Candid Conversations”.
PWal and PYem value and understand the importance of leadership. They believe leadership is not just a position of glory but a lifestyle that requires constant exercise. They exemplify such with their transparent and practical lifestyles to encourage their Ignite family members and nurture future generational leaders.
